Shave away roughly the internal curves of armrests with the chisel.
Use the knife to form the curves more finely and accurately.
Not being able to use filing machine for human furniture, sandpaper is wrapped around a stick to file by hand.
Finished armrests have beautiful curves as if chiseled out from a single piece of wood.
